boosting honda motors can get very costly unless done right. my thing is that you need to decide what you want, a reliable NA car or a Go Fast car... even though you swap a f20 into an accord, that swap is more/equally expensive than say dropping a LS motor into a corvette or camaro. if you want power, get a car with a powerful motor from the start and then work your way up most sr20 motors are already boosted seeing thats what you want so i would go with that

and honestly, 200whp isnt a lot. Most honda guys look to aim for 200, most wrx/evo/240sx guys start with 200whp... what does that tell you.

Just ask your self what do you want a GO FAST car, or a RELIABLE CAR?? if you say GO FAST, i think you then need to ask your self, do you want go fast NOW, or do you want to build it which takes time

U make a good point. But i just want my Honda to have a little more power. I wud b very satisfied hitting the 200whp mark. I want to keep it reliable but still quick. The most i would do to the head is just upgrade some of the internals(springs,retainers,etc.).Nothing too serious and some bolt ons. If i get the 240,then im really gonna take a long time and build it and set a goal of 400whp

brotha, im tellin you... HP is an addiction... once you aim for 200, then goes 300, then 400, then 500. Next thing you know, your 10 grand in the hole on a beater

I would just go w/ an H22.

Build the motor, dont expect it to be fast with just an engine swap.

you have three choices when building a car: Fast, Reliable, Inexpensive... now pick two and make your decision

Plus someone one here had a dyno of their F20b,it made more wtq then our f23's.

i doubt that if it was a stock f20b. stock f20b's have 145 ft lbs according to wiki, and stock f23's have 153, 152, and 150 ft lb between the a5, a1, and a4 motors. those are all ratings at the crank though, so wtq might be a little different, but if its already starting out at a lower number, i doubt itd make more.

vettes and camaros already come with gen 4 ls motors

:lawl:

yea but there is like 10 different versions of that motor

thats kinda what i want to do later down the line.

h22 with bolts on for everyday
f23 (g23? :naughty: ) for the weekends

I think we need to break the myth of the g23... it has its flaws and not the best gains for just a basic head swap

everything's a give and take. the f23's head is its biggest limit due to flow.

i'll be keeping an eye on eminodagreat's buildup...wink wink. i hope for the best but i see the F head being the limiting factor.
