I have a 99 Accord EX, F23A1 engine that is burning oil due to a overheat/timing belt incident. We decided to get the car running properly so the kids can take it to college within a month. It appears that replacing the engine may be the quickest option for me.
There are companies that will sell low mileage engines from Japan, and others that have 120K++ miles on them (with good compression).
So, what should I look out for? Are the low mileage ones that much better?
What parts, if any, should I expect to have to replace?
Thanks in advance
Ric
