I have a 2001 accord ex coupe auto with a good engine in it and I found a 1998 manual ex 4dr that i could prolly get for $500, can I really just take my good engine and throw it in the manual 1998?
Im going to take guess you want a manual, if that is the case it would be a much easier and cheaper to swap the 5spd into the 01. Edit: also you can make your money back parting out whats left on the 98 after your done.
no way really? that was my plan at first but all my friends (subi lovers) and they are the ones that got me thinking of putting a good engine into a manual car. thank you so much this was super helpful
Yes you can just take your engine, swap the flexplate & flyweel, and bolt it in and go if you want the 5spd car. Umm...swapping engines shouldn't take more than a day. Swapping trans takes a little more work.
