f23a4 f23a1 swap help??

hey Im doing a swap on my transmission from an automatic to a manual..the f23a4 5speeds are hard to come by so i decided to go with the f23a1 5 speed.
I bought a f23a1 ecu to put in place of the current f23a4..can this be done?

Unless you change everything over from the ulev crap and switch out the wiring harness, no. I believe you'd be better off running the f23a4 manual ecu.

Yup keep looking it will take longer but it will be less of a headache. Indeed they are rare, I have one sitting in my car right now

I seen posts on here where people have been doing this and getting an error..but did some searchin n someone bypassed it ..im desperate at the moment my automatic transmission is real bad and ive been wanting to swap ever since i got the car i hate driving an automatic i think ill try what these guys did
