yeah its probably a foot (if not less) to the LEFT of the vtec solenoid.. the plug sensor is facing up (which means you put the plug facing down)

i put left lol then thought i messed up and put right but it really is left lmao my bad, edited

its in there but do u know where that leads. does it lead to inside the car or to another sensor

yeah the sensor plug should be part of the whole engine harness, and that leads to the inside past the firewall, not sure where it ends up though.

thanks man and no problem, and the sensor itself could be causing the problem too.. try replacing it with a different one, they shouldn't be expensive but if it is you can replace it with a used one off a civic or something.

For some reason I work more on toyotas and subarus than my own car. Well, im too lazy to go look at my honda. But on toyotas and subarus and I could imagine for our accord as well. There is a sensor monitoring the temp in the radiator, its usually located on the bottom somewhere. Dont confuse it with the Engine coolant temp sensor, but it does however recieve some information from that sensor.

Basically the sensor in the radiator detects the temp and turns the fans on and off. It could be stuck open loop, you can unplug the sensor and turn the car on. If the fans are off, you found your problem.

There is a bench test, but its easier to just unplug it and see if the fans turn off.

i mean i was consulting with ma brother i dont have a sound system so i dont really need the extra juice could i just leave it like that :hide:

Its not going to harm anything, but if your fans burn out your car will over heat later on.

If you can tie your shoes, you should be able to unplug this sensor and see if your fans turn off. Remember, if you remove the plug, coolant will come out.
