Re: Want some TEASE with that wine?

Me too. Tomorrow won't get here fast enough, lol.
Now hopefully one of my bulbs won't coincidentally blow again. :eh:

did you have to cut anything to make it fit? shruds/housings?
I had to trim the shrouds on the top and bottom to get them to fit into the buckets without any force. It took about an hour to get it perfect.
I also trimmed the posts for the shrouds to make them sit further onto the projector. Idk if i said that before, but i'll say it again.. haha

and i also had to trim part of the blackhousing so there would be room for the projector to move up and down freely when adjusting them. I cut the housing, then sanded it down before painting so it looks very clean. I'll get a picture and put it in here in a few minutes.

EDIT:
Okay the red line is where the housing is supposed to go, and the yellow line is outlining the cut that I had to make.
Sorry if it is hard to see, it was kind of difficult to get a picture of it.

Looks great i love it...i wish i had the balls and money to do that.....

It doesn't take balls at all. :lawl: Not the morimoto anyways. It just takes around 20 hours to do. It did for me anyways. I'm gonna spend all this money and time on something, it's GOING to be perfect. (or at least close to perfect :lawl: )

I edited my post with the pic.
The only things i trimmed, is the posts on the shroud, the shroud itself on the top and bottom, and the housing in front of it that i just illustrated in the picture. The trimming is a lot of slight work, then checking fitment, more slight work, check fitment again, and so on until everything fits right.
And in case you're wondering, yes, after everything was together, they adjust like a dream. just like oem headlights. :D

How much did u spend? (if u dont mind me asking)
No I don't mind at all.
Hmm okay so i took advantage of the $75 sale for projectors and shrouds, if you want to go into detail about $20 for the three tubes of silicone (one for first retro, one now, one left over), if you want to count my first headlights $100 (if you do it right the first time, you'll only need one set of headlights :lawl: ), the DEPO headlights this time were $90, I bought a Volt hid kit for around 120 i think (discount coupon), then had to get new Morimoto H1 bulbs for $40. I think thats about it...
If you don't have any gloves i'd recommend them any time messing with bulbs a lot.
oh yeah and paint too, if you're going to blackhouse your own lights of course. lol
