First Engine Oil Change

I DIY'd my first oil change ( full synthetic) since buying my 6thgen, WOW my oil was pitch black!!! I swear the lady that sold me the car should be slapped for not maintaining the car.

I posted because I had been driving it little over a month now, and up untill the oil change I swear I had not experience the engines Vtec kick in. Its like in driving a different car now.

If she never changed the oil and you switched to synthetic. Your oil will probably get dirty before 5,000 miles. I had to change my oil 3 times every 3,000 miles before it started staying clean so I could go the full 5k.

oil usually is dark when its changed, so i dont see what the big deal is. and lol at you thinking you can feel the vtec kick in....its all in your head. for serious.

It's not hard to believe... VTEC lacks to function on low oil pressure or dirty oil. I usually drive 2 quarts low and can't really tell the difference to be honest.

lol, thats because you didnt have enough oil. when your oils low, the engine wont go over 4k rpm.
