Hey all
so today whlie driving some metal flew into my car on the highway and damaged my underbody- oilpan, flexpipe and some exhaust damage near the muffler which led it to start smoking.
I pulled over about under 150 meters after th eincident and most of the oil dripped while the car was off at the shoulder
Also there is some scratch marks on the front bumper near the bottom (where a lip would normally go) also damage to the rear bumper a small crack which caused extremely minor movement (half an inch movement on left side panel/rear bumper)

Im claiming and insurance said it WAS NOT FAULT and will pay for costs so just waiting on the adjuster.

I wanna know do you guys think i should replace the bumpers since it is minor as i do like my colour (eternal blue) and replaced bumpers tend to have a a slightly different colour

Opinions/ thoughts?

Thanks

if it were my car.... and you couldn't notice.. id just take the check from the adjuster and rent a boat, and then some hoes.

Have a pic of the damaged bumper? Oem paint from the factory is the best, and I do not like resprays or repaints. Color match will never be as good compared to straight from the factory.

No sorry no pics.

The damage by where a lip would normally be is couple scratches foot long around the front lower area cant really see it.

and the rear bumper has a crack which is on the lower part as well which cant see.

Recommend telling the shop to replace bumpers or just let it be so it wont cause such a difference between paint of body/bumpers.

A good body shop can paint match pretty freaking well. Unless the rest of your paint is really faded and dull

if u're lowered and on coilovers, i'd raise the car up a bit so tht they can't pin the fault on u
