I put mine on when I installed my rear sway bar and endlinks, so I have no clue how much it helps on its own. I've been told though that it's not much of a difference.
That's exactly what I've heard, hence why I ask. Do you AUTOX? I'd love to see a comparison between having one and not having one from your perspective.

Anyway as to why TLs have them:

Hi Guys (and girls), after putting in the F/F Type II's, I had planned on leaving the front strut tower brace off for a week until i really got the coilovers dialed in to the setting i wanted.
Yesterday morning, I noticed my windshield cracked from the exact bottom corner, and up at a 45 degree angle about 2 feet.

Apparently it's happened more than once. The TL has a weaker windshield than the accords... and a different front end design that relies on the brace, I think.

Yup because honda is so generous that they throw in extra parts for the hell of it. I almost forgot that having a double wishbone means that our chassis are indestructibly solid when hitting hard corners. My bad.
I don't know if you're just jumping on the bandwagon or not, but a strut brace is not a chassis brace. If you really want to reinforce your front end, buy these:

With BOTH pieces --- Hard cornering and taking curvy roads feels more "stable"; Ultra Racing uses this term to describe the effects. Front end feels more planted. If you need to make an "adjustment" while in a curve/turn, the "feel" of the front end is alot more firm, not squishy. I like the feeling the bracing has added. Road Course and Auto-X would benefit from chassis bracing. Daily driving could see some benefit; emergency maneuvers from dummy drivers, etc.

Now that is chassis reinforcement.

Yup I love to bandwagon. Chassis brace or strut brace I don't care to get technical it's still bracing and it may not make a world of a difference on its own. If your such an auto-x enthusiast you would know that every little bit counts down to stitch welding. I only picked it up the bar because it was $15 lmao. I'm not really worried about chassis reinforcement on my accord, it's not a track car and it probably never will be. In all the money/time wasted I've learned that it's not the best platform for performance, that's why I picked up a 240.

The white bar is a 4 point chassis cross/x brace. The blue one is a front lower tie bar sold by cusco.

For me I'd rather not put extra unnecessary weight on the front end, especially if it doesn't have noticeable benefits. Of course stitch welding is great, but it's also expensive and for nearly the same cost you could run a roll cage if you're serious about racing, which would net more benefits than stitch welding.

I just want to separate the hearsay from the actual handling benefits on Accords. Your 240 would benefit from a strut brace very much though, it runs macpherson suspension.

As to the accord being a performance platform or not; I'll let you know soon, I'll be running with a MK3 turbo supra and an 04 subaru wrx if I can get my friends to autox lol. I think the platform has potential; check out this vid:

It's an 03 accord but it should be similar to a CG2 track car.

Another thing, there is also a rear 4 point brace piece that may fit.

That '03 weights 2800lbs with driver holy **** that's impressive. Well if anyone can take a CG aka a fat chick and turn her anorexic then please elaborate. The weight is the biggest issue IMO with the CG chassis, it's why I decided to stop the build.

4 point will fit on 4 cyl.
9/8/11 edit:
Added note that it will fit 4 cylinder models also. Thanks goes to 9450erick.

oh thanks, didn't know that. As to weight... for the 4cyl, yes, it is overweight, but the V6 is about average... most of the excess weight comes from the sunroof, auto and the leather seats in my car. Double wishbone suspension also weighs a bit more than macphersons, but it's worth the extra weight.

Have you seen the P2R CG2?

I believe completely stripped it weighs 2600 lbs. Makes 300 hp and 277 lbs of torque with bolt ons on a J32a2. I never seen it race though, I think they scrapped it :(

So I installed it today and test drove it for 15 minutes making turns at 30-45mph on a secret closed area i know of.

Tbh, it feels much stiffer and more responsive compared to stock. Might just be me, but i love it so far.
