Why do people choose our cars over (specifically v6) 01-03 CL-S with 3.2 V6, 6 speed, Navi, more features, and in my area they are going for 7-7500 with 75,000 miles...Whats YOUR reasoning?

Ignorance Maybe. I've had my car for over 6 years tho and a Cl was out of my price range. Also I had owned a 2nd Gen dsm so I knew I was going Honda after I got thru that mess

An '03 CL Type-S with low miles and in good condition inside and out is hard to find, and one with low miles (65k or less) is upward of $8000. And depending on whether you're the type of person who goes to the dealer for everything, you'll pay a slightly higher premium at an Acura dealership for service.

For the money, an EX is close enough to the CL imo, if you can live without the 6spd, motor, heated seats, outside temp reading, larger wheels, navi, and factory HID's. Some people can live without all that, and for those who can't, you can get an EX for less money and add most of these things for equal to or slightly more than you would have paid for a CL...if you know what you're doing.

Overall, the main reason for me was because the 6GA (coupe at least), looks better out of the gate than a CL when it comes to the exterior. I test drove a 6spd CL after 2 years of owning my 6GA, and I loved the interior and the way it drove. But as soon as I got out of it, and looked at it parked next to my car...I just couldn't do it.

The US version of the Accord might not come with the heated seats, the CDN version does.

I would have to give it to the Accord Coupe as well, would definately take the exhaust/rims/6spd of the CL-S, but the EX-L Accord has all the rest.....plus two more doors for those that aren't getting out of the car so someone else can get in.

now go look at the prices for 6th gens.

to put it into perspective, i got my car 5 years ago for $7070 (thats tax, new plates, dealership fee, etc)...i'd be lucky to get $3k on the private market today. it was 7 years old at the time, and the good CL-Ss are now also 7 years old.

or i guess i could have waited 5 years, without a car, to get a CL-S today for my $7000 principal :lawl:

yeah I just got to thinking today, because I saw one for sale on V6P for 8 I think, and since I am getting a BMW in a year and a half, and the investments I have made in my car now, without letting my car go to waste, I showed my girlfriend the car and she actually really likes it, and with all of the features and parts that are interchangeable, throw a nice lip kit on it and my money will have gone further. Just thinking out loud, but I was really intersted in what people thought because I personally think the car looks very nice, and as for the interior, well.....its a lot nicer than the 6ga :(
