Alright, although this threads two months old, the guy that started the thread still does not have a solid answer (no pun intended). The addition of a FSTB will strengthen the torsional rigidity of the shock towers by tying them in together just to answer your original question. However, you are also exacerbating our car's inherent issue of factory understeer if you just use a FTSB. If you have already done the front strut bar, now would be a good time to do the rear sway bar upgrade (insert your choice here) since you have had time to get used to the benefits of the front strut bar (poly bushings on the Front Anti-Sway Bar as well). General rule of thumb for me would be (especially with suspension) to upgrade one piece at a time. Then, drive it to see what kind of noticeable benefits you can discern from each upgrade as everyone's "perfect" suspension setup is definitely subjective.

Here's a little bit more first-hand info for those looking to upgrade their suspension components.

I drive the 6g V6 coupe. First thing I did was lower my car with Eibach Prokits (1.5" drop, very mild). Noticeable increase in overall handling, not a huge amount, but definitley noticeable. Ride quality was very close to OEM, just a little more stiff over small dips and road imperfections.

Next thing I did was add an NRG front strut tower brace. This is a 3-piece bar, very VERY similar in design to the Cusco strut tower brace. With this addition, I noticed a minimal gain in turn-in response. The biggest improvement was the increase in stability in the front end. Its a little hard to describe, but while driving over minor road imperfections and over speed bumps, the front end felt more stable than the rear, because more of the vibration was being absorbed by the shocks.

Next upgrade I did was the Progress 24mm TL rear sway bar with Moog endlinks. I immediately felt a difference in handling. The car was much more responsive overall. However, during the sway bar install I noticed that my rear shocks were blown/leaking, so the increase in handling that I experienced is not the full potential of the rsb upgrade. That just made me happier lol.

Next upgrade is going to be AMR coilovers, 10k front 8k rear. Should be at my door in about 2 weeks. Can't wait to feel the entire setup all together, should be a lot of fun!

It is noticeable. My car feels both stiffer, and understeers more with it on. I put a bigger rear sway bar and my car has about the same feeling as before but tighter. I can say that it works because I have taken it off and forgot and I couldn't figure out why my car felt looser lol. However, I don't get a feeling of more oversteer when I take it off, I don't know why, but I did go back to the stock rear sway and it did understeer more so I really feel it does something. It isn't super significant but I would recommend it for $50, I didn't get the TL, I got a larger, but adjustable Eibach one.

I did feel zero difference on other cars with a cheapo ebay bar that you can flex with your body weight though. Not that it shouldn't be obvious, I am just saying that they are not all equal.

I just recently got a 2000 4cyl and am concerned about the suspension a bit. I'm not into lowering/dubs/rims etc. I'm a stock kind of guy but had thought about a strut bar and perhaps a rear sway bar upgrade as well as perhaps replacing the rear shocks. The front struts won't get done until next spring.

What should I get for the front bar and sway?

Don't forget about Moog endlinks to go with the new rear sway. The CT sway looks and performs great. You can also opt for the Progress 24mm adjustable rear sway for the 04-08 Acura TL, it goes for $150 + shipping on eBay (Shipping to US is $35)

Why are sway bar responses getting mixed in with this thread asking about front strut tower bars? Kind of straying from an answer...

What I'm wondering is what it the best one piece strut bar and where can I get it?
