Re: F2 Autolife - Coilovers "Function & Form"

What are the specs on the Type I? Spring rates?
Is it the same as the Type II just without the dampening adjustment? How low will they drop?

Oh okay. Any verification on this? I just really want a stiffer ride from my GCs on Tokicos..

Type ones will slam your car to any height you want.

To get custom spring rates, you will have to custom order them which will take longer. Factory spring rates are 10/6 for accords

Ah, I see now. I thought that the "stiffness" of a ride had to do with spring rates along with the strut. Meaning, I thought that since my GCs were paired with Tokico Blues, If I had had GCs with a more higher level strut but retained the same spring rates the ride would be stiffer.

So spring rates are what determine how stiff ride is?

^ Yeah, the illuminas or Koni yellow would definitely be stiffer than HPs(blues)

As for the spring rates, yeah they would be a lot stiffer than 10/6 which is factory. I'm not sure if I recall correctly but I heard if you get custom rates they come with Sprint springs instead of factory ones which are a lot better. It'll cost you though

.5 - 3.5 inches I believe. But.. anything lower than 3.5 inches and the shock will bottom out on every harsh bump.

Ground clearance? The car can be about 2-4 inches away from the ground, but that's again, bottoming out.
