So I've finally made my decision, and for $619 shipped you just can't beat the price of those coil-overs.

A few questions, how is the ride? going to drop 2 inches.

What should be the install price at say a Midas? the one near me knows all about honda. So, they def know what they are doing.

This is really my main question and it might sound stupid, but, when they say full-bodied coil-over that means the strut/spring are together as a whole and that's all you have to buy is the coil-overs? unlike buying struts/springs like eibach/kyb and such?

Sorry I'm such a n00b when it comes to coil-overs lol...

thanx for any help.

Full bodies coilovers are basically a substitution for the strut and spring and it is one piece which is why they say FULL BODIED unlike coilover sleeves it uses a strut/shock to be placed on.

I just recently installed my Type I's and im really satisfied with them. All I can say is that the rear going over speed humps is harsh and its not over kill on stiffness. I havent gone super low yet and I went with a finger gap between the wheel and fender. Be ready to align your car after.

find someone to install them for ya, its easy to do and i'm sure there's someone near you with the 5 tools you'll need to install it and the competence to do so. its a simple install don't waste your money having some shop do it.

ride will be stiffer and you'll want to avoid pot-holes, speed bumps and sharp inclines unless you're going at slow speeds

I had those on my car for 4 days then I got rid of them. Reason? I live in Canada and get a fair amount of snow. My plan was to drop it in the summer and raise up to stock (or close to stock) height in winter.

After I had these installed, I found that the car was dropped about 2.75" and that was at the maximum height!! Meaning these have a drop range of around 2.75" to about 4"!!!!!!

I made a mistake  and did not research before I bought these but luckily, I had a buyer willing to take these off my hands (but as expected, I lost some cash because I sold them for less that what I paid). I found that there were also much stiffer than my liking.

I know that many ppl love these because they can really slam your ride AND if that is what you are going after then there are perfect for you.

I switched to Tein SS-P and could not be happier. Teins rides very close to stock and provide a much milder drop (i.e perfect for winter/summer adjustments)

Anyway, I am just providing my personal experience with these so you can make an educated decision!! Good luck!

Expect crappy performance. poor dampening, lack of control in turns, bouncy, and squeaky.

Yes it slams you car, but that garbage is the only thing it's good at.

if you have the option, don't get it. I hate it..... really really hate it.... I can't wait to get my new set so I can get rid of mine.

Lets put it to you like this....
I have 2 accords. My 02 Sedan V6 has Apexi WS Coilovers, with OEM Sway bars rolling on 215/45/17 tires handles better than my 02 Coupe V6 with FF type 1 with Comptech FSB,RSB, Strut bar, and 245/40/18 tires.

That's how crappy the FF Type 1s are. Avoid it... save up and get something else. You'll be much happier.

^Paul, how do you REALLY feel! :lawl:

To the OP, read the "Suspension Review Thread"...that should help you with getting an idea of what others have thought of the FF Type 1 suspension.

Well put. Basically these coilovers are meant to make your car look pretty, but not drive well.

OP, if you aren't expecting much from your car, then get them because they're in your budget basically. Don't expect them to last as long as others, or handle as well. People will always say that their butt dyno tells them that they make their car handle better but in actuality the stock suspension will probably out maneuver these things haha. I had a set of the OG ones when they first started making them for the CG chassis. Had them for a month and ditched them. Lost 125 bucks basically to just test out a different coilover for a month. The choice is yours though. The customer service won't really be there to help you either because the staff at F2, from my experience, is very underqualified. Maybe things are different now, but whichever road you decide to go down, good luck.

I certainly have a different opinion in the Type II's. Not saying that they are the best quality product out there or that the valving is unbeatable. But I've run them at different settings and heights and I've found that they do everything that I ask them to do.

I wouldn't get the Type I's, I don't think they're THAT great of a deal when you can get used damper-adjustable coilovers for the same price or less, OR damper-adjustable setups for a little more money.

I agree with you. I have Type-II's on my Accord and I currently have them lowered beyond the threshold of any kind of track performance, I did have them at a higher height before and have not experienced any problems with them. I do not feel that my stock suspension could have performed as well as the coilovers at all.

Just my thoughts.

Mine's aren't squeaky, but i've heard AMRs make a lot of noise... :lawl:

But I have the type 1's, and here are my opinions..

Pros:
-stiffer than stock
-Can go really low
-does it's job as a coilover
-no noises.

Cons:
-can be a somewhat bouncy at times
-don't handle too well around turns.
-Vavling isn't high performance
***But keep in mind the valving was designed like this because people wanted to be really low without sacrificing too much ride quality***

If I could do it again, I'd probably find some Apexi WS coils, or some AMRs... But i'd have to drive in a car wth one of these set ups to actually know...
