Got my timing belt changed! But what is this sound!????

Im going to try to take it back to the shop Monday, I will update you guys with the results.

either the Alternator or the tensioner need to be replace, which I have them both in my living room right now.

here what i can conclude....if it whines at idle, and gets louder as u go faster, it could be:

1. bad grounding (whining noise coming from your speaker)
2. belt is too loose/tight

u sure it's not the serpentine belts (PS belt, alternator belts)?

can you please elaborate on the "bad grounding" reason, cause my car just started doing a humming/whinding noise three days ago, and it goes away substantially when i disconnect my subs, but i can still hear it when i have my windows rolled up, and i try roll them up more, i think its my alternator, my mechanic thinks its a timing belt pulley (he just changed the timing belt 2 months ago) and my uncle thinks its my cheap stereo picking up the noise from my engine/alternator and sending it thru the speakers... any input would be helpful... sorry about the long read :(

ground ur car...get some wires and connect em to the negative terminal of your batter then run em to the three important points in your engine bay
