It's finally decided! I'm getting the Greddy evo2 exhaust for my car. Should I also get this catalytic converter with it?

http://www.car-sound.com/02product/displaydirectfit01.asp?catalogid=2975&directfit=22642

On the bottom of the page it states:
MagnaFlow Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters by Car Sound are designed for easy bolt-on installation for the Professional Installer. Welding, cutting and tube bending equipment is not required. ***Each is designed to exact original equipment specifications.***

I'm worried about the starred part. Does that mean that it is like OEM? It won't give any hp gain? I still need to get it anyway because the cat I have now is a universal one and it doesn't have the flanges to get bolted onto the evo2.

Also, what is the diameter of the piping of the Greddy evo2 exhaust? Is it 2.5" throughout the entire catback? That will fit onto the cat I showed above right? Is the evo2 available in other sizes? If so, is it a good idea to get a bigger diameter? I know my car's stock exhaust piping is 2", and the one I have now is 2.25". Is 3" a good idea or is it only for turbos?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks!

I have the EVO2 Really nice IMO!!!! It's not necessary to get a cat but the more air flow you have the better.. I use a test pipe but I am about to spend the money for a Hi-flow.. 3" is better for Turbo. There is I think two sections of the main pipe that are larger that 2.5" but it fits perfectly fine.

I did my own exhaust and cat work right in my drive way... GL

It would definitely do it in my own driveway if my catback right now wasn't welded on. I have a universal cat so I had to have it welded, and I don't have a lift so I can't safely use a chainsaw under my car just by jacking it up.

That's why I have to get it done by someone which is kind of a waste but whatever, save myself some trouble.

Its a good exhaust, I have the Evo1 and its great. 1 piece of advice, dont get a megan racing test pipe with it. Your car will turn into a fart can after that.

nah i'm just getting a magnaflow high-flow cat like in that URL there. that'll do for me, no emissions problems and good performance.

i have a universal magnaflow on right now. Is it possible to put flanges on it so that I can connect it to my header and the other side to my evo2 catback? This will save me the $100 of getting the direct-fit cat.
