Ok so I just got my 5sp swap done at a local honda tuner shop and im having issues...

I can start the car now without pressing in the clutch. It also feels much softer to push in now. Ive had it about a month now and I'm kinda weary they didnt do Tue whole spacer thing behind the clutch pedal. Any insist would be awesome!

Did you use your phone to post that lol. Just pull the rubbery foam floor thing back and look for spacers. If that shop hasn't done a CG 5spd swap, I would almost guarantee those washers aren't there. The biggest PITA will be getting the wire pin out to separate them. GL

Hopefully it's something minor like the washers, but I wouldn't necessarily take it back to the same shop to fix the issue before you checked to see what it might be.

if the pin hole from the master cylinder lines up with the hole on the clutch pedal, does that mean I do not need spacers? I didnt have to press in on the master cylinder to get the clutch pedal pin in. sorry to change the topic, but its actually somewhat relevant.

My car also let me start it with out pushing in the clutch not a big deal that should be able to be fixed but I had no problem with that and left it that way. You for sure need some spacers behind the pedal ask the shop who did your swap, you may not have not enough travel on the clutch pedal and may have problems switching gears which happen to be also.

What Dre said. Most likely a spacer issue. As for starting the car without the clutch, the shop just didn't wire up the clutch pedal switch. I can assure you that a large majority, if not all, CG swaps bypassed that clutch switch.

definately make sure there are spacers behind the clutch. i remember i didnt
have the spacers and when i would press the clutch in all the way down my gears wouldnt go in.
i didnt wire the clutch pedal signal either
sucks though cuz now i got used to not pressing the clutch and leaving the car in nuetral but when my dad drives it he leaves it in 1st gear and in many occasions i have jumped forward and hit a family car.:slap:

Are the spacers those two black rubber circles on the firewall behind the clutch peddle and the part that goes outside connecting to the clutch. Two on each side on the firewall. If so I need to rip them out.

The Honda where I use to work at has the car now and is fixing everything the shop neglected to do (got a list of about 30 things) so hopefully the swap will be good to go after this sh*t is taken care of.

Thanks for the help guys.
