Hazard light switch wiring.....

I just installed my new wood grain climate control bezel and noticed the clock / hazard light unit is a little smaller than my current one.. Not only that the hazard light button on my new unit doesn't work and same with signal lights.... Is this due w being from the USA or a coupe thing..

I experience this the wiring for the 01-02 is slightly different from the 98-00 so the hazards switch won't work.....funny thing if your 6GA was a 5speed and you would have switch out the 98-00 hazard for the 01-02 hazards switch and remove you key from the ignition switch it will still run and drive......strange I know

That's crazy!!! I swapped the switch with the new one but the hazards didn't work neither did my signal lights !!!

So I guess I could try picking up a 98-00 hazard button?

yes. 98-00 and 01-02 hazard switches are different. as well as the clocks and dash bezel's. the woodgrain bezel youve put in is a 98-00. your hazard switch controls your turn signals as well, so yeah, if you have a 01 or 02 accord, youll need a 01-02 hazard switch if you want working turn signals haha. the 01-02 hazard switch only works with the 01-02 clocks, which also only works with the 01-02 dash bezel's, haha.​

The 98-00 hazard will fit in the 01 clock....ask me how i know

and the wire harness from the 01 is the exact same just pinned differently. If you find a 01 hazard pigtail you can wire it in to a 98

I want to be able to wire up the 98-00 hazard switch to work with my 01-02 harness... Cause as you see in the picture the 01-02 hazard light unit doesn't sit flush with my new 98-00 climate control bezel!
