ok, i have everything setup and ready and im doing it tomarrow. but one question. when using the simply green to clean off the block, do i jus spray and let it sit and drive normal? or do i have to spray it off with water? also, do i have to remove my header in order to use simple green?

I'd suggest mixing it with some water in a seperate spray bottle if you can cuz it usually comes concentrated.

By the time you've finished spraying the whole bay with the Simple Green it'll be time to spray it all off w/ a hose. No you don't have to remove the header.

When you're rinsing don't use a pressure washer, just normal tap pressure water. And try to avoid the electrical components

is it recommended to perform this on a cold motor, or is it ok if its warm? also, how long before the water dries til its driveable?

Ok well youre gonna get a lot of different answers when it comes to cleaning your engine bay. Some ppl even clean it with their motor on or they go drive it around.

Personally I think its bad for hot parts to be exposed to cool water cuz it can lead to warping or cracking, so wash it cold when the car hasn't been driven for a long time. Also I would let it dry in the sun for a few hours afterwards to make sure its fully dry before driving; electricity+water= no good.

I use our pressure washer on mine every time, just use a softer jet, and drive it right afterwards. Never had a problem.

i think soon im going to make a DIY cleanin the engine bay, lol. btw, i have pics from changing the valve cover if anyone wants to see. they're a lil blurry though.
