hi all,

i hit some debris on the freeway, it shatter my headlight and dented and chip the paint on my hood. i bought a replacement pair of blackhousing aftermarket headlight from K2Motors on ebay. the headlights look very nice and all. after i put it on my car, problem arrives. the low beam is aiming too high. my low beam is like my high beam now, and high beam is shooting to the sky. i try to adjust the headlight with the knob behind the housing, but it doesnt work. i tried turning left or right but the beam doesnt go higher or lower. i guess these aftermarket light doesnt let you adjust the beam???
plus i have a 6k HID kit, i am basically blinding everyone on the road.... i do not want to attract cops attention... anyone out there has any suggestion?

i thought about getting eyelids, you guys think that would help?
maybe buying headlights tiniting films?
i guess my last resort would be going back to stock bulbs.....

What I found out with my egay lights is that the adjuster knob wasn't really attached to the reflector bucket so I took it apart, went to a place that sold nuts and bolts called king bolt, and had them find me a small nut that I glued onto the piece of plastic where the adjustment knob is supposed to screw in on the reflector bucket, and that did the trick. I was able to thread the adjuster screw through that nut and adjust the buckets.

Also, not to sound like an *** but how much are you turning it? It takes dozens of turns to really adjust these headlines noticeably. I know that when I first bought my new lights, I only tested the knobs a few rotations, so wondering if you did that too

No it doesn't. I have oem stanleys that are retrofitted now and it only takes a couple turns. If its taking you dozens then something's wrong. It takes me maybe 5 FULL turns to go from max high to proper low beam height, if that. After I put the new nut on the egay headlights, the adjustment knob also functioned correctly like the oem one does.

Same here I just bought some egay lights and they adjusted just fine, They were a little harder to twist though.. but that was about it. My high beams also shoot up to the sky too but ehh that's what h.i.ds are for.

I think the issue with adjustment is just because they're ebay lights...I had the same issue with mine, the adjustment knobs didn't seem to work, they would turn and turn and nothing would happen, and I was blinding everyone. So I bought a pair of headlights for cheap from a friend who wrecked his accord, took both pairs of headlights apart, and swapped the plastic clips that the adjustment bolts screw into--mine were stripped out and bent because they were made out of cheap plastic, which seems to be the cause of the issue that you are having...
