So I have been secretly looking through this forum for the past couple weeks and figured I might as well become a member. I thought I would say hello here and share alittle about myself.

In the past I have been more of a toyota kinda of guy and still love my 95 camry to death but recently I came across a deal to good to pass up. I purchased a (almost) mint red 98 accord v6 coupe from a family friend and so far I must admit Im impressed. I have always liked it styling and its alittle bit quicker then my camry which is always good.

I have started to improve the accord and hope to make it as respectable and nice as many of your rides I have seen. For starters, I put in a HID kit, and am getting a set of TL type S rims from a friend (EDIT - The rims are goin to take awhile as he has to fight the insurance company for his car so in the mean time i found RSX rims that will have to do). Also considering tint. Any advice as to the darkness of the tint is welcome. I also have an Injen Cold air on its way and plan to upgrade the exhaust to a magna flow set up in the very near future. Figured this would be a good place to start.

So I guess this is my plans so far and please feel free to give advice on where to go from here. And thanks for having me.

Hey welcome to the site. Good choice on the car. ;)

I would check what the legal percentage is for tint in your state. Here in Ohio it is 50% on the driver/passenger window, and as dark as you want on the rear windows and rear windshield. I wanted all the windows to look uniform, and I wanted darker than 50%...so I went to 35% all around, seemed like a good middle ground. I wanted to go darker, but I was worried that if I ever got ticketed for it, I would have to get it redone, and that's a pain. I'm sure you know that the lower the percentage, the darker the tint.

As for the Magnaflow, I highly recommend checking out Performancepeddler.com...best deal on these exhausts in my experience. Don't forget suspension!

thanks everyone again for the warm welcome.

Canadian - Yes I know about the tranny problems as it seems they are VERY well known. Lucky my car had the tranny recently replaced so Im hoping this wont be an issue at least for now.

RedRyder - 1st I have to say SWEET RIDE. I hope to make mine something close to that nice. I have looked into it and here I can do 35% in the front sides and whatever the rest of the car. I could legally do the 35% all around as you did. How do you think that looks?
Also thanks for the link for parts. Luckly My two best friends recently openned their own shop here in ct so I can get everything whole sale and have a lift and full spray both to play with. :-D
