Hi Im new to this whole thing and definitely new to learning about cars but my fiance is a mechanic and i kinda wanna learn some things plus i am interested in buying a Acura TL or Honda accord and wanted some feed back on those.

I found a 2002 Acura TL that i really like already just not sure yet.

welcome to the forum. If your looking for a second gen TL, they are almost exactly the same as the 6gen accords. The TL are just alil more luxurious with a 3.2 engine. either would be great pick up for DD.

Welcome to 6GA, a couple of questions for you to help with the car choice.
1. What do YOU want from the car - i.e. Shopping kart, drive kids to school, etc
2. What's your fiance like at maintenance on YOUR vehicle??

I'm sure the guys will add or subtract from the questions here..... welcome aboard none the less!

Thank you :)

Well i'm getting a car because right now i drive around a huge truck and it is very bad on gas so pretty much the car will be my daily driver but i also want it to look nice and be nice to drive around and also fast enough to get up and go...

and my fiance is on this same forum.. and he has always kept my car up on everything he would do stuff on it all the time and he always gets mad if i dont keep it clean all the time haha

welcome, and the car looks nice. As long as the maintenance has been kept up on it, it should be good

how many transmissions has the TL been through? :hide:

if its in the budget, you can probably find a Type S for $8500 or so...
