Ok, I've searched and still can't seem to find a solution to my problem. I did a 5 speed swap from a 99 F23A1 Accord EX into a 2000 F23A4 Ulev Accord EX. I have a CEL due to primary O2 sensor, no reverse lights, and had to modify cluster for temp gauge to work(99 sending unit different than 00). I've tried the O2 "relay delete/wiring" with no success. I had the 5 speed ECM swapped also. What I'm wondering is do I need an ECM from a 2000 5 speed Ulev in order for things to work? I've heard that if you have a CEL, Vtec will not work. Does anything need to be done between Ulev and non-Ulev engine wiring harness? I'm stomped with all this and need help. Can someone please help/point me in the right direction? I dont wanna fork out $150 for ECM then $80 to reprogram if not neccessary. Thanks!

Your engine harness will not make the reverse lights work that is a chassis harness.

I'm glad to see you were successful with the temperature gauge, most people aren't able to get it right.

If you changed engine types you will need the correct ECM. In the thread you made before I, as well as nearly everyone else, told you that it would be 346545672153723464'x easier to just tap into the correct wires for the VSS wiring. It is immensely difficult to get the exact harness you need for the trim and year and engine.

If you have the correct MIL then no VTEC will not function.

Also it isn't necessary to have two threads started within days of each other covering the same thing, and a huge block of text will turn people away.

If you don't like the MIL, don't look at it, forget its there and check the code every week or so. I've had the same code going on since mid-October, for the primary O2, I just deal with it.

Grab a standard O2 sensor from a non-ULEV Honda to match the non-ULEV ECU you're using. The primary ULEV O2 in your manifold is a wideband. The pin-out is different between ULEV and LEV engine harnesses as well. I have a stock 2000 EX 5-speed ULEV ECU you could buy, but it sounds like you're half way to your solution already.

PS. What did you modify in the cluster for the temp gauge?

Thanks for the help. I swapped out the Ulev O2 sensor for the non-Ulev sensor to match the ECM and still have the same code. I followed Chido's repin/remove relay for the primaryO2 sensor but still no luck...samecode. I even tried the secondary sensor in the primary location and still got CEL. Bout tired of messing with the car and may even sell if the price is right!

As far as temp sensor I had to take the one out of the 99 EX and install into 00 EX...then ran a wire directly from the sensor to the harness of the cluster where the temp gauge is. I then had to swap auto cluster out for 5 speed because the gauge internals are different. If you don't switch clusters the needle will go all the way to the top and give false reading.
