If I were to perform the blackhoused headlight mod, I am concerned about the resealing process, if it doesnt go well then there may be condensation.
I found a set on ebay with the mod already done, so I was wondering what you guys think if I were to buy from these sources on ebay.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/190613776544?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649
They are $40 + $40 shipping.

Here is another source $83 + free shipping
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/390314193125?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649
Has anyone bought from these sources and what is your advice.
Any other source suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

Thanks for your input man.
I may just DIY, let me know how the HID project works out.
Not sure what all is involved in the HID project and how much it costs?
Do you know how much more light the HID provide over the OEM headlights?

I was also looking into these halo lights, not sure what you guys think of this.

This is from who i bought mine from a couple of years ago...

Amber under signal
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2002-H...rd&vxp=mtr&hash=item336f7d69e4#ht_4590wt_1139

All clear strip
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2002-H...rd&vxp=mtr&hash=item336f845bf5#ht_4590wt_1185

I added a bead of silicone around them before putting them on the car and had no issues with condensation whatsoever; the only issue is the passenger side left a half a cm gap on the corner which can't really be distinguished unless you know about it or look at the car carefully.

Personally my reason for buying them is i had no time to have the car sit outside with no lights while i tore apart, baked, painted, sealed lights.

You can easily just use this as a temporary means while you can retro your OEM headlights and then just re-sell the ebay blackhoused ones to make some of your $$ back.

Thanks for the ebay source, its always good to know if it was a reliable source, I see in some posts people didnt get what they expected.
Since you've had them for couple years how is the paint holding up, the black is not flaking off is it?

I also dont have the time to perform the mod while the car is down.
I am not sure though which one to get, the amber or the clear side ones.
Which ones did you get?

I think I wont bother with the halo ones, and if I can find out how much more brighter the HID's are then I may go that route.

I got the ones with the amber corner under the signal area.
The paint and condition on them is the same as the day i bought them; no flaking and no issues with the lenses either. One of them has a dead mosquito inside but i don't think thats an issue with the lights, more like a dumb mosquito.

I had them with a 6k 35w ddm tunning hid kit and visibility was fine and not much different then oem with hid kit. Just make sure to aim them appropriately once installing hids

Good to hear those lights are working out well, that gets me 1 step closer to ordering them. I think I like the amber corner ones as well.

Since I am also looking to upgrade to HID kits and along with fog lamps. I am wondering if I can just buy the blacked housing with the HID kit. And this source also sells the fog lights with HID kit.

But I am wondering if this HID kit is good enough quality?
Any thoughts?

Hey when you painted your corner lights, what did you do? Just tape off the section between low beam and corner light and just sprayed the lens? And also what kind of spray paint did you use?

I'm going to black house my headlights soon and do the yellow high beams, was thinking of doing the corner lights too since I'm already opening it. I have krylon fusion gloss black to do the housing, could I use that for the corner?
