My car has just started to make a decently high pitch engine whine while in upper RPMs 2000-shifting..(stops during shifting and when let off the gas/under certain throttle possession)
Thought it was my turbo at 1st,but its sounds like when you have a cheap system hooked up and having that electrical feed back.(i dont have a system just radio,so i turned the power off and it still does it)

sounds like the whine i got when i installed a torque damper,If yall are know with that sounds like..but its been off for months months..

i have changed my clutch, and oil recently.
Starter last year and battery twice this year.
I believe the alt. is stock
has 135,xxx miles on it 99 accord 4cyl.

is it something serious or just another 6thgen noise?

Alternators make a whining sound when the bearing goes bad. Park your car and rev to 2000 to try and mimic the sound

this maybe totally unrelated, but on my J engine, it used to make whine noise with AC on.

then i recently got timing belt changed, along with water pump, and also, hydraulic tensioner was bad.

after this, no whine at all under all situation.
