be like it is
seal off the trunk from the cabin and do a v-style manifold (2 on the top of the v, 2 on the bottom)...basically infinite baffle with ~14 cubes. then port the middle of the baffle where the v is created. it would look like > from the side, with the "open" end facing the cabin.

without modeling it, that's how i'd do it :lawl: if i wanted to do it, that is :poke:

Yeah i have a DC 270xp also. It broke the first time .... I just got the new one in yesterday... gonna install tomorrow.

I hear this all the time. You get what you pay for.

I always like Mechman for HO alts. do your research, they have the least amount of fail problems I have seen. Irragi and DC seem to be hit or miss.

and just an fyi Optima's are not good car audio batts, good starter batts though, good car audio batts would be like kinetik and xs power. group 31 ftw.

Do YOUR research! Ohio Gen has the least amount of problems. Your right about Optimas though. Although I wouldn't recommend Kinetik because they can't hold a charge.

Just to add on to the info, Mechman H.O. Alternators run $450 for the 150 amp, $550 for the 240 amp. They recommend the 150 for regular daily use. 240 more or less for dB dragging.

Like I said earlier, I paid $600 for a 160A and it's built into a prelude alternator body. They are the MOST reliable.

I've went through 2 dc power 270xps. Along with 2 other 6th gen users that I know of. I've had mine sitting in my basement for a few months now... They said they are redesigningthe case/bracket because two keep breaking. I have about 9k rms

LOL not suprising. It's not the case or bracket, it's the company. Every DC Power model has this problem. If you really have 9KwRMS you should consider at least a dual alt setup with custom bracket. It's gonna cost a fortune.

i must be lucky. i got a 200amp alternator for 230 bucks. all 0 gauge wires and ground wires upgraded.
(2) Jl 13w7............gonna upgrade to an RE XXX 18 soon

Cool story bro. Amps, batts and pics?

Ight, so i have the same half of what your running in my coupe currently, with a stock alt and a optima yellow top. funny I've been lookin around for a HO alt to fix my system.

so far these guys are the only one i could find (https://www.dcpowerinc.com/?year=0&make=0&model=0&engine=0) but since your not running this on a accord you could probably JFGI and you might find some more

That's my tentative for my car, that and to run a second batt in the trunk (http://www.kinetikaudio.com/2009/product.asp?C=1&P=KHC2400)
problem solved

Please reconsider a different battery. Lots of other companies to choose from.

I am curious to know how you properly fit 4 l7's in the trunk.

I am too.

Just an FYI I have a Stinger 200A alternator for sale. It's never been used. It's a competition series (pretty big) and won't fit using the factory bracket. The bracket it comes with works, but you have to remove the AC compressor. I'm sure you could make a custom bracket that fits and get a custom belt though. PM me if you wanna buy it.
