Hood heatshield

Is the hood heatshield for the coupes and sedans interchangable? The heatshiel for my sedan is pretty bad. Im looking to get the hood heatshield from the coupes

That is a good question. The hoods are different so the underpinnings could likely be as well. But that's not to say you couldn't make one fit.

Not sure if anyone's ever done that before. Did you check their part numbers?

i think it depends on the motors...but they should fit on both coupes and sedans

Ahh true. Its v6 to a i4

Ill go check the part numbers when i get home

I would imagine that while the hoods are slightly different on the outside, the inside could be the same. Except v6 to i4.

the other question I would ask, is it worth going through the trouble to replace it? why not just take it out, clean the metal webbing on the underside and call it a day

Mine has the heatshield but its all nasty. It'd be nice to have one in good condition. But if it cant be done then ill call it a day. Then probably remove the heatshield when summe comes

Just take it out, they're ugly anyways. I took mine out like 6 months ago.
