Why just redline when you can hit the rev limiter?

That'll sure get you're attention the first few times you hit it, won't it?







I only redline it when I blowing off the Ferraris and Vipers.

in the mornings to warm up the car I just floor it in park, but it only goes to 5K and sounds like its cutting off ?

but I only floor in on highway cause I like intake sound, or I just put auto tranny in neutral and rev on suv's when coming to light, lol. I hate suvs.

I really don't suggest you do that. Fist thing is your car needs a couple seconds when it first starts to build up oil pressure good. But putting a high load on the car is not great for the engine. We have steel sleeves on our block, we also have aluminum pistons. When you have a cold (relatively) steel sleeve (steel expands less than aluminum). And a hot aluminum piston. You can cause great wear on your pistons, and worse case seize the piston in the block.

Way to easy to hit redline in 1st and 2nd getting onto freeways and pulling into traffic... Redline in 3rd is 100mph and I don't drive that fast around town

Just let it warm itself up. You're doing more harm than good.

And there is a limiter while you're in Park. That is why you can't go past 5K. Neutral is a different story, though (which you seem to have found out already).
