to clean the battery dont use just water, use warm water and i think baking soda cant remember which one and mix the 2 and pour over your battery that will get all the acid off of it

I used this engine degreaser made by 3m that i got from napa auto parts. It was a foaming degreaser. I covered my alternator, battery terminals, intake and dist. cap just to be safe. I used the whole can on the engine after I let it warm up for like 5-10 mins. The can said to spray everything and wait 3-5 mins. I used a small brush to clean the engine while I waited. I then washed it all off and it was great looking. You can eat off my engine. I then used the black tire stuff on my hoses and plastic parts.

Here's the stuff I used: http://www.autogeek.net/3m-foaming-engine-degreaser.html

dude pressure washer or a hose works perfectly fine just make sure the engine has cooled down a little bit but its still good to be warm to get the grime off its as simple as that
