i got a question about this tinting. usually when i tint my tail lights, the paint chip off so.. does anyone clearcoat their tint? would that cover too much light from the tail light? because i can't wetsand the tint paint. i'm also trying to wetsand my fogs but i can't wetsand the tint paint.

edit_nevermind. i clear coat it anyways. turned out great! didn't have to wetsand it since the surface was smooth.

i didnt clearcoat mine so i dont know if this is the case if you do but you should spray till your happy with the darkness and then do one more light coat because they do fade a tiny bit after about 2 weeks. I did a pontiac G6 at work yesterday on my lunchbreak lol taped the whole rear end off and everything, the car is black so it looked amazing and I made a quick 25$

just wanted to let you guys know. i did 2 coats of red tint, which looks dark red. and then i did 2 more coats of clear. after that, i just buff it. didn't sand since it might strip the clear coat off. so that's how mine turned out.

I tinted mine the first time last October and between October and July they faded but not by much. I just taped them off again and hit em with two coats.......good as new. I actually put two coats on the bottom of the lights too and it came out nice.

did you clear coat it? i recommend clear coating. it won't difuse the light whatsoever. the clearcoat keeps it from fading.

when i spray my stained glass red paint, it faded for mine. kinda scratched up some parts too because of my trunk keyhole.
