^^ I was originally talking about the upper strut bar (in the engine bay)

The sway bars are what most people are recommending haha

^ Rear Sway only. That's where you're oging to get the biggest improvement.

And a good Upper Strut Bar should improve the crispness of turn-in. It's not overly noticeable, but when you tug the wheel you should feel a sharper response.... I did.

Oh, and you can still have the stock braces on with a 3-piece bar. Just takes some adjusting. ;)

1 piece strut bars are the best you can get. id highly suggest the tl/cl oem one and/or the neuspeed one. ive had both, sold the neuspeed when i got rid of my first 6g, now i have a tl/cl one on my car.

if your going to run a strut bar on a daily driver then it's mostly bling under the hood ... it's only really noticeable if it's on, for example a canyon runner or a road race car where your taking your cornering to an extreme ... sure it's nothing like a rsb upgrade but everything counts

I"m definitely looking into the RSB...heh

As for the front upper strut bar, is it supposed to resist compression of the left/right sides of the car, or is it more for torquing (twisting) of the chassis?

I would imagine for the 3 piece bars that the bar would only be as strong as the bolts that connect the bar and the two mounts...is this an incorrect assumption? Or are the forces being exerted on the bar not enough to break even the bolts?

Yes, and that is why people don't like to use them for actual upgrades. The structural integrity of one solid unit will always be better than combining 3 separate pieces. Not to mention they normally send you some cheap bolts to hold it together. If I to do do it again, I'd just get the TL/CL bar

This.

And the stress the bar will take will not break anything. You will not notice a difference between a 1-piece or 3-piece barin a daily driver, though I would still recommend a 1-piece. I have the Neuspeed and I notice going into driveways with large step-ups that the car is more rigid, and I do notice better turn-in when I throw the car into a curve.

As for the RSB, search TL RSB and you will get the part numbers and everything. The whole setup can be had for under $45 shipped. Thats' what I got it for from Curry Acura anyway. Easy, cheap mod that makes HUGE difference.

sorry to thread jack, but this has picked my curiosity, now is this an oem part/ and does it have to be bought at a dealer? also is it the 17mm or the 20mm

thanks:thumbup:
