so i was on my way to work this morning around 6:00 and it has been raining for 2 days STRAIGHT and off and on for about 2 weeks now.

i have to drive a little over an hour to the place we're working right now and ive never driven this way in the rain so i didnt expect any flooding or anything.

but im doing the speed limit of 45mph and suddenly i come to a complete stop in a huge wave and my car dies.

tried to recrank it once and nothing, so i get out in the down pour and starting pushing my car in nearly knee deep water.

i make it to a dollar general parking lot and call my boss to come help.

so i ended up just riding the rest of the way with him and plan on coming back after work to see if she dried out.

but when i get to dg i soon realize that the manager decided to get my car towed.

so now i have to go to the wrecking yard at 8 in the morning and pay $107 to get a car out that im not positive will even crank. fml

i was in the street for about 25 seconds and i pushed it to the side of the parking lot in a parking space and it was there for about half the day.

that is your first mistake..cranking it with the plugs still in.

when you get it back tomorrow, drain the oil, crank the motor with the spark plugs out.

you cranking it with water possibly in the cylinders/spark plugs still in can bend the rod.

You tried to recrank and nothing? what you mean by nothing? the engine turned but didnt start, there was a click then nothing or when you turned the key there was nothing at all.

You probably shorted something electrical. Check your engine bay and look for anything low enough that could have been submerged into the water.

BTW....if you flood the car with water while its idling, its very possible it didnt damage your engine.
