Re: Interior fun (Final Pics on 1st page)
o wow makes me wanna do my guts i like it.....is it easy??
It was a pain in the ***, especially since I did 90% of it by myself.
DO like.
I love how you mod your car with reckless abandon.

I just never know what you'll do next and it's always a cool idea.
Did you read any of this thread? lol
Thanks Chris, I value your opinion and seek your approval so it's nice that you like it. I told everyone that I was going to do crazy fun things to my car after my car was salvaged and rebuilt after the tornado damage and I got it back. I'm grateful my car won't look like every other 6th gen.
Did you happen to find a diy on removing interior panels/pillars/ and the headliner?
Looks pretty good to me, I didn't even think of wrapping the door panels. Did you go over the leather or somehow take it out?
No I did not find a DIY. I went ahead and just got to work, removing things and taking pictures. After I got far into though I stopped taking pictures. I may be able to write something up however with the sun roof assembly it is a B*TCH! and I accidently broke one of the clips... which sucks but I never use my sun roof - It opens and closes, just not OEM gracefully lol. I've probably put 30-35 hours into it so far, without having installed the headliner yet.
As for the door and rear wall panels, the front doors have to be removed when the actual door panel is off the car. So you will need to follow the steps in removing that <--very easy btw. Then the panel is held on my some bendable medal tabs where you just bend them straight and the panel falls right out, vise versa when you put it back int, just bend the tabs.
The rear panels are a huge pain in the ***. Honda got the bright idea to have some type of melted tabs that hold it in so after a long time trying to un hook them or whatever I realized that they were permanetly hooked on so I had to break each one. So to put them back you can either use the same touch Loctite or 3M spray to glue them back or drive a couple finishing screws to hold them in place.
As for the leather, there is a foam backing and then the leather forms around the foam. The leather is just glued around the edge of the back side so it is easily removed, while still keeping the foam intact.
As for the headliner all you have to do is unscrew the sun visors / disconnect light connector, unscrew oh sh*t handle, there is a big plastic screw in the back that you turn as well (can't miss it). Then you'll have to un screw and un hook the Dome light and front "dome" light assembly which isn't but a couple screws. After that you work your way from the fron A pillar around to the other front A pillar and you'll need to pull the rear pillar pieces away from the car in order to have enough room to slide the headliner out, to push back the pillars, then it'll drop down onto you. Very light weight and easy to remove, just lower back the seats all the way down and you need to bend it slightly, however it'll come out if you're patient.
It's honestly very easy to remove.
The pain in the *** is after the headliner is out, removing the sun roof assembly, if you have one.
