Re: Interior Overhaul ~ 3/26 Update

I am curious to see the process of wrapping the visors, or maybe I am overthinking the degree of difficulty.

figured out how to do it, lol itll be hard.

not overthinking **** is hard!
yeah it is, im starting on it tomorrow

That....actually makes sense.

Or does it?

I'm so confused!
confused about what?

Keep up the good work. I feel your pain in doing this, it's a lot of work!

Looks like your wrapping the pillars, door card inserts, rear deck, etc (exactly what I did).

What are your plans with the headliner/sun roof? It's not too hard, just a lot of work to get out....

yeah all pillars, deck, anything leather, doing the sunroof and headliner as well, i just bought $126 in red micro suede to do it all.

Take your time and it will turn out great.

Y no feel the vinyl?
wasnt crazy for it, and i have a bit of shiny from the satin black, so the suede will balance well.

Great job brad always wanted to do this since sedans dont come wit blk guts....
thanks, if mine comes out good i highly suggest trying.

So Brad, uhh, feel like traveling a bit down here and doing my interior. :hide:
hahah :ohyou: just diy, not too hard.

---------------
update: all plastic pieces painted and some vinyl pieces painted, the vinyl on the door panels still need paint, then im gonna soap down and pressure wash the carpet and let it dry.

Have you tried the flat clear from krylon? I used it on top of the satin krylon on my old auto shifter and it came out great. It killed a lot of the gloss and made it look close to being oem.
Loving the progress. :)

You should do a dash removal diy.

Looking good so far

This. Been wanting this DIY. And I've been putting thought into painting my interior. Just been to scared to cuz I didn't know what I was gonna do about my seats. Will be watching how yours come out. Thanks for posting this OP and good luck with finishing it up.

carpet will be next, im cleaning it with soap then pressure spraying it, then black fabric paint

IMO... Don't! I did this with some tan carpet to red. Looked great once I got done. Month later all the "high traffic" contact areas fade. And rub off on white shoes. And I did a proper prep job. Will try to find pics once I can get back on my computer. But this is just my two cents.

edit: pic of right after i finished painting the carpet.

i gotta try and find a pic of how it looked a month or two in.. it started to show through tan again. i used four cans just on the carpet.

Does it feel smooth? I was thinking about this but I thought the paint could chip easily.

i did my carpet black as well and what i found is that it does fade in high traffic areas but to help with this problem as u spray the first few coats down vaccum roughly and then lay more coats this was a total of 6 cans to do my entire carpet but its holding up very great still also mixing in a color spray paint such as black if youre doing black will help as well

How's the rest of the interior holding up? Are you going to do seats too?
