Bought my first Honda 6 months ago and I'm falling in love with my 4cyl 99 accord 4dr more every day! I was an avid fox body mustang owner for a few years but I totaled my 5spd lx and decided to try to save some cash on gas... now I'm learning about VTEC, the difference between an f and an h series motor and I can't stop thinking about the next mod! My goal is not to have the fastest or most flashy 99 accord, its to have a mustang killer, a sleeper and a daily driver that helps me to enjoy driving.

After having a few 5.0s I'm sure I have some ideas on how to wipe the smirks off some faces. Thanks for the welcome! I intend to utilize a good amount of the wisdom on 6GA!

Welcome to the site. You have your work cut out for you given a car originally designed for economy with a low power 4cyl motor and FWD. Hopefully yours is a 5spd, if not a manual swap should be your first order of business. That’s all not to say these cars can’t be fun or decently quick, they can…but it’s not easy or cheap. Search up some build threads, plenty of people have made good power with both i4’s and V6’s.

I have the 5spd i4 with the f23. I know it will take some time and $ especially after having researched the specs on the f23 but I have faith in the car, myself and the good people of 6GA!
