I knew that the oem hd couldn't really play cds well as my friends tl did the same thing. But when I had my oem hd, some how a burned cd got stuck in the hd. Couldn't take it out with eject button so had to remove cd player and open to retrieve the cd. the cd player never worked after that.

Try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting...On mine it usually shows CODE and I press in the code and everything resets...pisses me off cuz it changes all of my presets whenever I mess with electrical stuff...but yeah try that out...it might just work.

I just replaced mine coz it did the same thing, dealer charging me $95 to just take a look at it, they told me that if it was my fault they keep the 95 bucks + the cost of the HU if i want to replace it i believe and if it was the radio that was faulty they would replace the it for free.
