Re: Is there a exhaust system or something which can increase mpg on a stock 6thgenac
it probably won't justify the spend. I'm going do the math now. lets say you drive 1200mi a month at 22mpg you will need around 55 gallons, which at 3.80 would be 209 dollars. if you increased your mpg to 25mpg it would cost 182. the difference would be 27 dollars. now take your 1000 divided by 27 = 37 months or a little over 3 years. the best savings would be driving like a granny. how you drive is going to be the main factor, plus if you get an exhaust for a v6 you are going to be more inclined to lay down on the pedal, which will in turn lower your mpg. also do other things like check tire pressure, and oil changes
Re: Is there a exhaust system or something which can increase mpg on a stock 6thgenac
The stock engine/powertrain has been optimized for fuel efficiency NOT power. Most of the engine mods will increase power at the expense of fuel consumption.
If you really wanna save fuel, do a 6 speed MT swap, and always shift before 2200 RPM ... Or try anyways. I bet you'll be shifting around 6000 RPM

Keep the car stock, buy lighter tires, check for good tire pressure, keep up with regular maintenance, featherfoot the pedal, and keep windows up and A/C off.
