... horribly bad casting.

I never knew they wanted to make a live action version of Akira.. I don't really see how that would work.

I wonder if they are still planning on making Voltron. I'd be down to see that.

they wanted to make Akira a number of years ago, but the estimated cost was $300k and that was too much money at the time..... how they're getting money for it in the economy right now i have no clue

While we're on the subject of Hollywood...let's not forget programs that cover Hollywood "news", such as Access Hollywood or Extra. I don't know which one is worse, they both have unintelligent yuppies dressed like wannabe's talking about the most worthless Hollywood "news".

How sad is it that someone chooses a career that follows someone else's, and not only that, but meticulously documents the most menial details of their lives that no person with an ounce of common sense is going to care about. Every time I see someone from one of these shows interviewing someone at a magazine about how happy a "star" couple is or who might start dating, I just want to go on a rampage. This crap makes everyone dumber for having listened to it and should be illegal.

That having been said, Extra is worse because Mark McGrath hosts it. :dunce:

$300K is dirt cheap for a movie.

The average cost of a wide release is in the $70 million ballpark.

Huge budget movies like Gladiator, Titanic, LOTR, etc... can top $200 million.

I'm thinkin you mean $300 million right?? lol
