Probably a really silly question but has anyone gotten a tune on their stock j30 auto? I'm not looking for suggestions like a new tranny or a Ac delete would give you some power but I was wondering if there was a such tune to throw out a little more power?

Way back in the day we had Unichip. I even used it to tune my J30 with a J35 Top End swap. However, Unichip ditched the DOS based MAPs (yep, DOS based) for the 6th Gen and that was then end of that.

You could use a E-manage, possibly even a AEM FIC 6. E-manage works but, not sure on the FIC-6. Won't be plug and play. You will need to find someone to fab up a harness with the E-manage stuff. You MIGHT be able to modify the FIC-6 harness to work with the E-manage.

After it is all said and done, you might pull out about 15whp?

There is a reason people get rid of the J30.

Great engine for those not wanting to get more out of it, but when you are looking for a better power plant, at the very least, get a J32.
