Hey everyone, I am new to this forum and I haven't been in the car scene for along time. I got my 98 Accord Coupe for free after selling my 240sx and Miata, and I was wondering if anyone knows a place on the internet that has J - series engines with complete engine harnesses and ecu. The early J30a1 have a distributor ,but after that the later models engines have C.O.P ignitions systems in it. This seems problematic to me since, If I was going to swap the engine out with a J32a2 I wouldn't be possible with the stock ecu, due to the distributor ignition system. I need some info on swapping out this engine so I don't run in to any BULL. It seems that swapping out Honda v6 with automatics is confusing, since it not like having everying thing like SR20det and BPze. Basically should I get a J - series with everything with harness and ecu and find a manual tranny. I was a smog inspector for five years and I like to pass an inspection in NV every year and I like A/c this is a desert out here. It is easy to pass a tail pipe test with a Megasquirt ecu on a OBD1 car so I need alot of detail with this swap.Anyone with info please respond, Thanks You!

Keep in mind I wrote this early in the morning with out sleep so if i sound vague sorry I haven't had any sleep and I just finish a exam.

Unless you have enough money to own a 8000+ Sq Ft. home and a BMW 7 Series.... say goodbye to the J35A8 idea right now.

If your going to go swap... J32A2 or J35A3 if N/A... J32A1 for boost due to lower compression.

And search...search...search...
