I'm no mechanic but my engine is shot. It has a problem where it won't start, piston misfiring, it smeels like burning, and it randomly stalls at red lights on large intersections. It's a lot of fun so that's why I'm thinking about going for a j32a2. Will that bolt up to our failure tranny until I get a 6spd? There's a bunch Tl j32a2 with 30k miles from me for around $500. Should I get it and use it on my tranny until i get a 6spd, or better yet can i? Or should i just fix my j30 and do my 100k stuff?

Buy j32 and run j30/auto until you can afford the 7th gen 6 speed or more expensive cl,tl type s LSD.

Pretty sure you'd need a 7th gen auto however it would be a waste bc auto sucks. Just do it all at once like chris

No point to doing that whole swap then having to basically do it again for a 6spd

Agree with Matt. Not worth all the work, only to have to do it all over again. In all honesty I don't know that I'd ever do this swap again.

Why wouldn't you do the swap again chris? Is it not worth it? And Matt id go for 7th gen trannys, unless I found a really good deal on the cl one.

It's worth it if you are attached to your car and plan on keeping it a long time. What I mean is, I don't know that i would ever do another motor/trans swap.

I'm pretty attached to it Haha. I want to do an engine swap and tranny swap or buy a s13/s14 and build it. If I do get a 240sx id throw my wheels on it and VIP my coupe and call it quits with my accord. Not to sure on what I want to do especially since the price for a j32a2 with 30k miles is for sale 3 miles away from my house.
