Finally replaced my brake pads aswell as installed my header. My old header was junk. I ordered some cool interior bits that should be here this week or next.

Looks great! any leaks?

And about the paypal thing if you haven't done it yet, someone else mentioned the gift thing and he is correct.

1. If you send money as a gift you don't have to pay fees they get everything you send. BUT if you get screwed they won't take your money back from him.

2.if you "buy" through paypal you have to pay a fee (3% i believe) so it would be $412 ($12 is 3% of 400) BUT if he screws you, you file a claim with paypal. they give him either 7 or 14 days to refund you or make it right for you (you tell paypal if you accept his fix) if he doesn't reply or doesn't fix it to your standard, they will take the money from him and give it back to you.

There shouldn't be any leaks. When underneath my car yesterday I noticed the flex pipe was totally destroyed, my downpipe was also pretty beat up but I didn't notice any holes. The leakimg was coming from where the header met the downpipe because the previous owner only had 1 bolt in out of the 3....

As for the coilover payment method im going to have him put it on eBay so I can buy it there. If he doesn't want to do that then he seems a little shady and I won't buy from him.

Ebay has fees also. which might even be higher than paypals. You're safe with paypal. Just send him the money for "goods" instead of "gift".

I hate the downpipe to header spot. those can be a ***** to seal correctly sometimes.

... or maybe I just have a problem with over-tightening:computer:

those gaskets are...crappy...

I have -NOT- tried this, but your local lowes/home depot/menards had -COPPER- sheet, a lil work with a holesaw and you have a gasket!

copper is softer than steel, but high enough melting point to survive...

it *might* work...

I ran a few of mine w/o a gasket, if you crank them -TIGHT-, it pretty much works as well. Use a file to *flatten-out* any rough/raised parts. Exhaust leaky spots (low!) are carbon-black so it's easy to spot tight (raised) places, because they're clean.

All recent updates look great. Center console looks much better than OEM.

Thanks! I should be getting door panels done soon but not sure what I want to yet. I don't want to do the oem "gathered" material look, but I'm thinking of perforated leather or doing leather with white diamond stitching
