Today I was going to be pulling the motor from the prelude I have so I can finally put the motor in my car. I was stuck on the damn axle nuts for 3 hours and guess what? I still have not got them off. I have used an impact gun, a breaker bar with jack handle (I broke the breaker bar), and neither side will budge. I have totally had it with trying to work on cars. I seem to have the worst luck. I don't even know if with this new motor if the problem my car has been having will be fixed. My wiring harness has got to be f_cked up somewhere and nobody can track it down.

I want to just cut the damn Cv axle because they don't even do me any good. Plus I don't see why anybody would want to buy used cv axles when they're cheap new.

Just to make sure, you did remove the little notch that's in the axle but looking it into place? Should have that anyways. Kind of sounds like that is your problem.

Have you used liquid wrench? I swear by that stuff. Spray it on, let it soak for ten minutes, spray more on, soak, spray and then try prying it again

I had this problem when I was starting my swap, the driver side axle nut would absolutely not break loose. We finally got it after torching it and using a 4ft long steel pipe on the breaker bar handle AND standing on it. We broke 3 breaker bars getting it off.

Glad to know someone else feels my pain lol. I've had it soaking in PB Blaster. I have a month off school after this week and I'll probably get started on the swap again.

Ordering mine interior kit this week hopefully. I also have basically everything figured out for my swap. I can't wait to get it done.

So tomorrow I have the day off and am headed to my interior friend's shop. Tomorrow I'm going to order the leather kit for my seats and have my speaker decklid recovered in black. Can anyone give me some tips on removal? I have taken out the seatbelt, c pillars, my entire backseat, speaker covers, third brake light and I push the tabs in at the bottom but I can't get the thing to snap out. Do I just have to give it some force to pull it out? I don't want to break it...

And for my motor swap I'm replacing the gaskets and seals. I'm going to have the valve cover powder coated but I'm debating on if I want to do white or some sort of blue... I'm relocating my battery to the trunk, block off EGR, no evap, getting rid of abs (proportion valve and running my own lines, and I'll be tucking some of the wiring. I'm keeping ac and power steering.
