Sup,
Well guys, as some of you know I got my 99 Accord back....well I've been thinking on doing a auto-manual swap on it. I think I've came to a conclusion, but I would like some of you peoples input on it. Here is the options I have thought of.

1. Sell the Accord and buy another that is already a manual.
2. Sell the Accord and buy something that is a better platform.
3. Sell the Accord and buy a RWD.
4. Follow thru with the auto to manual.
5. Fix the Auto.

Umm. Here are the cars that I would like to buy if I sold the Accord,
1. Mid-90's model Nissan 240sx
2. Nissan 240z (not the ZX just a Z I believe the early-mid 70's model)
3. Mazda Miata MX-5 a 95-97
4. Another 6thgen (preferably coupe 5speed or a V6)
5. Early 90's model Civic hatchback

These are just what I have in mind, not going to try and get all of them.
Any kind of feed back would be appreciated, Positive or Negative, also I would like the pro's and con's of what I've listed above. Also any of the above, I want it to be a manual.

Oh,
One last thing I forgot.
How much do you think a 1999 Accord that is a EX-L I4 with a broken tranny worth has 149k

Ok considering that I sold the accord, Out of the 5 cars that Ive listed at the bottom what out of the Five I know the 240z is going to be hard as hell to find. but other than that what about the other 4

a clean accord is going to be easy to find if you dont care about transmission

a clean 240sx is going to be impossible to find that doesnt have an auto (trust me on that...i was looking for one 3 years ago before i bought the accord. 3 years later...finding a clean 94-98 is going to suckkkkk)

ditto on the civic...theyre all going to be beat to ****

the miata and Z i would consider weekend cars

I don't see the point of a AT to MT swap unless you have alot of money and time invested in you car, especially with parts that are hard to swap. I, like many others, would also be very hesitant to buy a car with a transmission swap so you may drop the actual resale value quite a bit.

Other than that, i'd say that it's all about what you want. I'm kind of mad that i didn't buy a TL-S when i bought my car but at the same time, I don't think it's worth selling my car for right now.

4. Another 6thgen (preferably coupe 5speed or a V6)

why would you get a v6 that come with even worse auto tranny problems? even if you wanted to 6speed swap one of those, it costs a lot more than a 5 speed swap for the 4 bangers.

you trannys dead you say, so having 150k, with a busted trans, you wont get much for the car. i would say you should sell it and buy a 6g thats already a 5speed, if you want another, that way you could skip the headaches of swapping in a 5speed tranny, even tho its not that hard of a thing to do. ive read that the 5 speed swap would cost about the same as a new auto, so its all your decision.

and dont get a civic hatch, everyone and their moms have those damn things.

It has to be a manual I am tired of a auto. Accords around here are a everywhere but most of them has been beaten to hell or have the same problem I have with mine. Miata wouldn't bother me as a DD because in general I am a smaller guy and can easily fit into it. What I am aiming for is a 2 seater but not something to the extent of a MR-2 or a S2000, simply because mat'n can get pretty outrageous on the MR-2 and the S2000 is out of my budget. A fastback or a hatchback wouldn't bother me much. ( I don't think there is a difference in the two tell me if I am wrong.)
