Re: Kash's Gold 2000 Accord LX 2.3L

thx

today i discovered the CEL is code 61 for heated o2 sensor malfunction
damn, I was CEL free until I unplugged the sensor to take off the heat shield

Also, there like 10 mosquitos inside the headlights. I tried to seperate the clear from the plastic, but its sealed. Anyone have advice?

Also, I added to the to-do list

I was told to separate the light use a hot gun or put the light in the oven. Be real careful though as to not heat up one spot too much cause it will crack. If you are having o2 sensor problems stick a test pipe on there :D there's a way to hook up sensor in the test pipe to where the sensoy registers that everything is fine. you try just taking the bulbs out to let the mosquitos out??

WOW surprised your SRS light isn't on....don't worry it'll come on soon lmao:buttkick:

and by the way just search up black housing your headlights or something. in the beggining of the DIY it should just guide you through seperating them. if you want you can definitely go with DIY blackk housings...i actually recommend you do that while you take the mosquitos out lol. well worth it. i bought mine for 100 so depends on you sir.

straight pipe not an option lol

I'm gonna try cleaning and moving the wires around. Will the light turn off when its fixed? or is it the kind of thing i need to "turn off" with a code reader

yea i think i'm gonna try to shake them out of the bulb holes
how the **** do they get inside in the first place??? its SEALED

and i have to remove the front bumper i beleive? to get to the 3 nuts that hold it in?

well if they're in they got in some how. must be an opening somewhere. and yes you gotta remove the bumper.
this will help. no need to search anymore lol

welcome man, it's a fresh start. imo, you should black house the headlights. cheap/easy mod that gives off a whole new appearance. just pre-heat oven to 325 degrees and put the headlights in there face down for 5 minutes. make sure you have a damp towel on the rack though or else headlights are done. lol. then just use a screw driver to lift the clips while trying not to break them and then pry em apart. that easy. and reverse the steps to put them back together once done.
