Re: Kaskiats 98 coupe ex build

As far as I know im the only one that has modded a 6th gen this far. There is a guy that made a 2nd gen into rwd with I think an h22. Im going to live with the springs for now until I figure out how far im going to take this car. Im pretty happy with the way it handles, for $200 it was worth it. Plus in kelowna with all the road work I dont want to go any lower lol.

I guess for a weekend trip you could meet up with the guys from Vancouver. They have meets every so often, and they have their own running thread on here as well.

I'm sure BC has changed alot since I left there, but I do plan on going back for a visit.

Well, if the roads are that bad, then you're probably right, although having the flexibility of coils is always a nice option.

hows the v6 treatin ya? one of the reasons i didnt get one was cause it was automatic, but a 6 speed swap sounds like a lot of fun. as for the revscene meetup I might go down there kinda waiting on some money here lol.

The v6 is nice, but auto definatly robs it of power! still can't complain 211,000 on car and still running original tranny!!

That swap is definatly a good choice!! just out of curiosity what dose a swap like that usually run someone, only askin since Canada prices are different from the states! by chance you wouldn`t happen to know of any auto wreakers in Kelowna that have 6th gen accords perferably ones that came with a 5 speed!

Well engine, tranny, lsd, mounts, header, and to be put in it was about 4 grand. Plus as a bonus i get a "free" ecu". Go figure eh? as for auto wreckers with 6th gens i havent heard any, but if it helps there are a few 6th gens for sale. Whatcha lookin for maybe I might have it.

Well I need brake pedal and clutch pedal, plus the clutch master cylinder. not sure wether I'll go with the shifter and cables from a 6th gen or a 7 yet, the 6 speed swap is not goin to happen until next spring so I'm in no rush to gather the needed parts yet..LOL I did however find a 6speed for under a grand so might pick that up first, there goes my money for rims LOL!!
