Little of you may know, but I moved out of California on July 20, 2013 to Kodiak Alaska. This place is beautiful; this small Island filled with a friendly environment. It's a very small community and pretty much everyone knows everyone if you've been here long enough. Well anyways, here are some of the landscape pictures that I would like to share with the 6ga community.

Oh, before anyone ask me... There are 3 6thgen's here that I've seen so far. With the roads over here and the heavy snow/rain, almost everyone drives a 4x4, but yes there are still a few riced out Integra's and Civics here aswell :)

All shots are with the Canon 24-70mm 2.8L

That looks like an amazing place to live ( at least in the summer)
:drool2:

I just don't think I could handle the cold in the winter.

Moving for a gold rush?

Thanks Chris, there's a small beach about 2 minutes of walking distance from where I love and a lake right next to my place.

Reason for moving was because of trying to get a fresh start. Stockton wasn't cutting it, just didn't feel safe and good living there any longer. I chose here because of the smaller population and I have a few family members who live here aswell.

It's funny because people are saying this is probably one of the best summer they had so far. Last year was raining pretty much throughout the whole season. I hope winter won't be too bad lol.

Thanks!

Nah not because of the military, though most military members stay in another part of Alaska, there's only a coast guard base here, but you'll often see some navy/marines in town once in a while.

I drive my brother in law's 01 chevy silverado. He got a dui a few months back and goes out to sea for 3-4 months for crab fishing so he doesn't use it much.
