i really know nothing about engines or anything so when i try to read it i just get confused hahah. fail.

There is a lot to learn/know, what I would suggest is read a bit(bit at a time) on NVA AV6's thread about the different J-Series swaps.

Since you are in no rush really, you have that much more time to get informed and learn about the whole engine/tranny swap process.

No one expects mods to be done overnight, so no pressure to get anything done.

lol i know just what u mean. That's why i love google, cuz when i first starting reading posts on this site i didnt kno sh*t about cars. u just gotta take it slow and learn as you go along. SykVSyx is right tho, the money could really be better spent, at least for right now. I'd say, put some money away in a small fund that u add to every month or so as u gain more knowledge, and tackle some easier / more practical mods for the time being. You'll learn a lot as you go, trust me.

To me it sounds like the same thing tbh.. its like going from an automatic to a wannabe-manual that's still automatic tranny in the end.

So.. if you hate manual then stock tranny > tiptronic.
