Auto knobs that is.

I know the Razo one fits as does the Prelude gated shifter. Im curious, does anyone know if any of these will fit and/or work:

Im trying to stay away from the push down knobs if at all possible. I dont mind the side-button and I like the trigger-styles as well. Doesnt have to be Honda/Acura either. I saw a pretty cool looking knob in a new Cadillac...

Doubt it'll fit and it probably costs an arm and a leg. But I like that style all around; wood, leather, trigger-style button.

What's everyone's thoughts/ideas/experience?

I have the Razo push-down, but you don't actually have to push it down unless moving down from park. I do agree that the Cadillac shifter would look good along with our wood-grain style center consoles though.

I currently have the tl-s gated shifter and its pretty much plug n play. I also have a prelude gated shifter that i am not using and from what i understand it is pretty much the same. Both will be up for sale in the near future when i start my 6 speed swap.

Define "pretty much" plug and play...

Everything Ive heard about the gated ones says they can work but require a bit of modification.

Not to mention, Im not a huge fan of the Type-S knob but I guess once the shifter's in there, i could put whatever knob I wanted.

I got to thinking about it, and all shifters, essentially, work the same way; the button triggers a rod that pushes down on the little shaft/wheel thing, thus engaging the shifter to move. I would think a trigger-style, no matter the brand/make, would work.

The Cadillac one can be had for about $150 and thats including the boot. I may or may not have the chance to test fit one. If I do, I'll see what I get.

Yes they do need to be slightly modified to work and i believe there is a diy on v6p. The ones i have are already modified so they are plug n play if you use a boot. If you want to use the trim without the boot you will need to do some modifications for it to look right.

RedRyder (or someone) has one on their car, I believe, and the Type-S trim piece overlaps the Accord piece. It fits but it looks kinda weird.
