I've been on some forums where you can't post links/pictures until you have "x" number of posts, whether it's 5, 10, etc. Is there anyway we could do something like that here? It might help prevent a lot of that spam we see in the polls that get posted...

i agreee. that's a good proposal. but then again new member can't post their ride. but good way to prevent spammers tho.

it might prevent a new member from posting their ride for a day or two, but I think that's worth not opening up a post at work to see lots of porn spam!

I've been spending my boredem looking through the members that recently joined and weeding out the spam bots. I've pm greg and blacknight a couple of times with small lists of spam bots.

While thats a good idea..it only stops them from posting the links and pictures and they're still here regardless. Honestly, for us mods, it'd be easier to do multiple bans at once instead of one at a time. Cuz I have to look up the user, copy their name, click the ban option, paste it, select ban duration..click ok... for every single one. I used to do like 20 a day during the winter and I just can't bring myself to sit here for that long anymore.

but wouldn't the prevention keep the spammers from posting the NWS pics...because i have gone into some threads will some very very bad pictures..and with the ban then they could just post a link..i am just getting tired of going into threads with polls and seeing those pics and having to ban and delete things like 7 times

We appreciate that, but so that all moderators/admin receive the information just click the "report post" button and we'll catch it even sooner.
