My intake was tapping on the metal in my engine bay before I drilled in a rubber boot seperating the intake from vibrating on metal. I think some intakes are made of cheap metals so they might crack after some time.

No, I don't have a bracket on it anymore. I just cut the pipe in half where the hole was and put a rubber connector there instead.

that sucks, at least you were lucky enough to have a bracket when u first got it. mine didnt come with one, so it jus sits in between the battery and the bay, lol.

my ebay intake is sitting on my a/c lines till tmrw after work till i go to vatozone to get a hose clamp to bring it up about an inch. Ghetto, yes.

"vatozone" thats hella funny man. lol. what I have to keep my intake from vibrating on metal is a rubber stopper and bracket that came with my intake. Its about the size of a quarter, it has a hole in the middle. U need to drill a small hole so u can secure the stopper behind or under the intake and then use a small bracket that can be attached around the intake and secured on the stopper by the bolt and washer. With your intake sitting on ur a/c line u might get enough vibration to cause a leak in ur a/c piping. And that would be no fun where u live.
